When you work on several projects at once, the SuperClear AI dashboard is your home base for keeping them all organized. Inspections are grouped by project, you can connect or create new ones at any time, and switching between them is a one-click affair. This article walks through how to manage multiple inspections from the dashboard.
The Dashboard at a Glance
After signing in to superclearai.nspec.app, you land on the dashboard. Inspections are grouped by project, and each project group is collapsible — click the project name to expand or collapse the inspections inside it.
Viewing Your Inspections
Each inspection card shows:
- Inspection name
- Date (or "N/A" if no date is set)
- Inspector name (when not in SuperClearOnly mode)
On the right side of each card you have three actions:
- Click the card body — Opens the Detailed Inspection View where you can upload photos
- External link icon ("Open in app" tooltip) — Goes directly to the SuperClear AI Screen for AI detection review
- X icon — Removes the inspection (with confirmation)
At the project group header above the inspection cards, there's a small pencil icon for editing the project's Building Options and Floor Options.
Adding More Inspections
You can add inspections to your dashboard at any time using the action buttons at the top:
- Connect to Inspection — Connect to an existing nSpec inspection. Use the Project Selector to find the project, then check the inspections you want to connect.
- Create an Inspection — Create a new stand-alone inspection. Pick or create a project, name the inspection, and set a date.
Which buttons appear depends on your tenant's connection mode. See Using the Mobile App (PWA) for details on connection modes.
Switching Between Inspections
There are several ways to move between inspections:
From the dashboard
Click the Open or View SuperClear AI link on any inspection card to go directly to that inspection.
From an inspection screen
Click the back arrow at the top of the page to return to the previous screen:
- From the SuperClear AI Screen → returns to the Detailed Inspection View
- From the Detailed Inspection View → returns to the dashboard
Once back on the dashboard, click another inspection to switch.
How Inspections Are Grouped
Inspections appear under their parent project header on the dashboard. This grouping is automatic — you don't need to organize anything yourself.
Each project group shows:
- Project name (clickable to expand/collapse)
- The pencil icon for editing project options (building, floor)
- All inspections under that project
Project groups stay collapsed or expanded between visits, so you can arrange your dashboard view to focus on what you need.
Editing Project Details
To update Building Options or Floor Options for a project (these affect the metadata dropdowns when tagging photos):
- Find the project group on the dashboard
- Click the pencil icon next to any inspection in that project (or use the project header)
- The Edit Project modal opens
- Update Building Options or Floor Options (comma-separated)
- Click Save
These changes apply to all inspections in the project, including any new ones you create later.
Deleting an Inspection
Deletion is permanent. Once you delete an inspection, the photos and AI detections associated with it are gone. Make sure you've downloaded the punch list first if you need a record.
- Find the inspection on the dashboard
- Click the X icon on the right side of the inspection card
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog
Best Practices for Multi-Inspection Workflows
- Use Project groups intentionally. Collapse projects you're not actively working on so the dashboard stays scannable.
- Tag photos consistently across inspections. If your team uses the same condition tags across all projects, your punch lists stay uniform and you can compare findings across sites.
- Generate punch lists per inspection, not per project. Each PDF should focus on one inspection so reviewers don't have to dig through hundreds of photos at once.
- Delete obsolete inspections to keep the dashboard clean — but only after you've downloaded the punch list as a backup.
- Use the View SuperClear AI shortcut when you just want to review detections — you don't have to go through the Detailed Inspection View first
Troubleshooting
My dashboard is empty
Solutions:
- If you've never connected or created any inspections, the dashboard is supposed to be empty. Click Connect to Inspection or Create an Inspection to add some.
- Check that you signed in to the right tenant — open the settings panel and verify
- Refresh the page
Some inspections are missing
Solutions:
- Make sure the project group containing them is expanded (click the project name to expand)
- If the inspections were connected from nSpec, verify they still exist in nSpec — if they were deleted there, they're disconnected automatically
- Refresh the page
Delete option is missing
Solutions:
- The delete control is the small X icon on the right side of each inspection card, not on the project header
- If you don't have permission to delete inspections, your administrator may need to update your role
Edit Project shows empty fields
Solutions:
- The project may not have Building Options or Floor Options set yet — fill them in (comma-separated, e.g., "Building A, Building B" and "1, 2, 3, Basement")
- If the modal is loading, wait a moment for the data to fetch
