Credential Hub is where you keep your professional certifications, licences and memberships up to date, and where your Sales CV is built from them. This article covers the three pages every employee has.
Before you begin. An administrator first has to enable Credential Hub from the App Store and grant your group access, and then you may need to sign out and back in for it to take effect. If Credential Hub isn't in your launcher, or you open it and get "Access Denied," that's almost always one of these. See Getting Access to Apps and Extensions.
Finding Your Way Around
Open Credential Hub from the app launcher. Three pages are always yours:
- My Certifications — Your certificates and licences
- My Affiliations — Professional bodies you belong to
- My Sales CV — Your profile, built from the above
If you also manage credentials for other people you'll see more entries — Employee Certs, Employee Affiliations, Firm Licenses, and possibly Company Summary and Settings. Those are covered in Managing Your Team's Credentials.
My Certifications
Each certification is a card. The card leads with the credential type, then two badges — where it stands, and whether an administrator has reviewed it. The expiry date sits on the right with how long is left, and the card takes a coloured left edge as that date approaches.
Compliance badges:
- Current — in good standing
- Expiring Soon — inside the warning window
- Expired — past its expiry date
- Unknown — the status could not be determined
Review badges:
- Pending Review — submitted, waiting on an administrator
- Approved — accepted
- Flagged — an administrator needs something changed
- Rejected — not accepted
A Flagged or Rejected card shows the administrator's reason on the card itself, under Admin Note: or Rejected:. Read it before resubmitting — it is the fastest route to getting the credential accepted.
With nothing recorded the page reads "No certifications yet" and offers Add Your First Certification.
Adding a certification
- Open My Certifications and start a new certification.
- Choose the Certificate / License Type.
- Optional: set the State and Specialty.
- Enter the License Number and Issuing Authority.
- Set the Issued Date and Expiration Date.
- Optional: attach the Certificate Document and add Notes.
- Save. Where your organization requires review, the card appears as Pending Review.
Attach the document. A card with nothing attached shows "No document", and an administrator reviewing it has only your word for the dates. Where a file is attached, Document opens it — or Documents ({n}) where more than one version exists, so a renewal never overwrites the history.
Renewing a certification
Use ↻ Renew on the card rather than editing the expiry date or creating a second entry. Renewing opens Renew Certification, which asks for the New Expiration Date and confirms with Confirm Renewal. This keeps one credential with its history intact instead of two records that disagree.
Requesting a type that isn't listed
Certificate / License Type is drawn from the list your administrators maintain. Where the credential you hold isn't on it, submit a request with Submit Request — the confirmation reads "Request submitted". An administrator adds the type, and it becomes available to everyone.
My Affiliations
My Affiliations records the professional bodies you belong to — the memberships that belong on a CV but are not certificates. Empty, it reads "No affiliations yet" and offers Add Your First Affiliation.
Each affiliation records:
- Organization / Affiliation Name — for example "e.g. ASCE, NSPE, AIA..."
- Member Type — the grade or class of membership
- Membership Number
- Date Joined
- Website
- Notes
As with certifications, an organization missing from the list can be requested through Request New Affiliation Type. Removing one asks for confirmation under Delete Affiliation.
My Sales CV
My Sales CV is the profile your firm uses in proposals and submissions. Your certifications and affiliations feed it, so the two pages above are what keep it current — sections drawn from them are marked Auto-synced.
You fill in the rest:
- Professional Summary — "Brief summary of your professional background, expertise, and value..."
- Areas of Expertise — added one at a time
- Photo and LinkedIn URL
- Positions — Company, Job Title, Start Date, End Date and Description / Accomplishments
- Education — Institution, Degree, Field of Study, Graduation Year and Notes / Honors
When adding a position, Company Directory picks a company already known to your organization; Other Company lets you "Enter company name, title, and description manually" for anywhere else you've worked. A position with no end date is marked Current.
Your name on resume: controls how you're credited, and Append to Name adds post-nominals — the letters that go After name, such as a licence or a fellowship.
Keep the source pages current, not the CV. Anything marked Auto-synced comes from My Certifications and My Affiliations. Correcting an expiry there is what updates the CV; there is nothing to retype here.
Troubleshooting
Credential Hub is missing, or I get "Access Denied"
Solutions: three things have to be true. Check them in order.
- An administrator has enabled Credential Hub in the App Store.
- Your group has been granted access to it.
- You have signed out and back in since that change. See Getting Access to Apps and Extensions.
My certification has said Pending Review for a while
Solutions:
- Check the card for an Admin Note:. A reviewer may be waiting on something from you.
- Check a document is attached. A card reading "No document" gives the reviewer nothing to verify against, which is the most common reason one sits.
- Contact whoever manages credentials for your office — approval is theirs, not something this page can advance.
My certificate type isn't in the list
Solutions:
- Use Submit Request to ask for it. The list is maintained centrally so that everyone's records stay comparable.
- Don't record it under a near-match type. That makes expiry tracking and firm-wide reporting wrong for everybody.
My Sales CV shows an old certification
Solutions:
- Fix it in My Certifications, not on the CV. Sections marked Auto-synced are generated from that page.
- If the credential was renewed by adding a second card, use ↻ Renew on the original instead — two cards for one credential is what produces a CV showing both.
A certification says Expiring Soon but I've already renewed it
Solutions:
- The badge follows the Expiration Date on the card. Renewing at the issuing authority does not update it here.
- Use ↻ Renew and set the New Expiration Date, then attach the new certificate so the record and the document agree.
