SuperClear AI is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means there's no app store install — you just open the URL in a browser. This article explains what devices and browsers are supported, how to install SuperClear AI as an app on your home screen, and how to sign in for the first time.
Supported Devices
| Device | Recommended browser | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone / iPad | Safari (latest) | Use Safari for the best PWA install experience |
| Android phone / tablet | Chrome (latest) | Native install prompt appears in Chrome |
| Windows laptop / desktop | Chrome or Edge (latest) | Both support PWA install |
| Mac laptop / desktop | Safari, Chrome, or Edge (latest) | Any modern browser works |
Internet Explorer is not supported. If you're stuck on IE, you'll need to switch to a modern browser to use SuperClear AI.
What You'll Need
- An nSpec account with SuperClear AI access (your administrator sets this up)
- A modern browser (Chrome, Edge, or Safari, latest version)
- Camera access on your device if you'll be capturing photos in the field
- An internet connection for sign-in, photo upload, AI processing, and report generation
- Around 100 MB of free storage on your device for the offline cache
Step 1: Open SuperClear AI
- Open your browser
- Go to https://superclearai.nspec.app
- You'll see the SuperClear AI sign-in screen with the NXT logo and an email field
Step 2: Sign In
SuperClear AI uses a multi-step sign-in flow to handle different account types automatically.
- Type your company email in the email field
- Click VERIFY EMAIL
- If you have access to multiple tenants, you'll see a list — pick the one you want and click SELECT
- Depending on your account type, one of two things happens next:
- Microsoft SSO accounts: A pop-up window opens for Microsoft sign-in. Sign in with your Microsoft credentials. The window closes automatically when done.
- Password accounts: A password field appears below your email. Type your password and click LOGIN. If you've forgotten it, click Forgot Password? to reset via email.
Step 3: Accept the Terms (First Sign-In Only)
The very first time you sign in, you'll see a Privacy Policy & Terms of Service modal. You must check both boxes to continue:
- Read the Platform Privacy Policy (click "document" link to open the PDF)
- Read the Platform Terms of Service (also a PDF link)
- Check both boxes
- Click Confirm
You only see this modal once. After accepting, you go straight to the dashboard on every future sign-in.
Step 4: Install SuperClear AI as an App (Optional but Recommended)
Installing SuperClear AI on your device gives you a one-tap launch icon, full-screen view (no browser bars), and faster startup. Installation is free and doesn't require an app store.
Desktop / Android (Chrome or Edge)
About 3 seconds after the page loads, an install prompt appears in the bottom-left corner of the screen:
- Look for the banner that says Install SuperClear AI
- Click the green Install button
- Confirm the install in your browser's prompt
- SuperClear AI now appears in your apps list and can be launched independently of the browser
If you click Not now, the prompt will reappear after 7 days. If you close it with the X, same thing.
iPhone / iPad (Safari)
iOS doesn't allow web apps to install themselves directly, so you'll see an instructional banner instead:
- About 3 seconds after the page loads, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen with iOS-specific instructions
- Tap the Share icon at the top or bottom of Safari (the square with the upward arrow)
- Scroll down in the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen
- Tap Add in the top-right corner
- SuperClear AI appears on your home screen as an app icon
After Installation
Once installed, SuperClear AI runs in standalone mode (no browser address bar). It launches faster, looks more like a native app, and remembers your sign-in across sessions.
The install prompt won't appear again on this device — open the app from your home screen or Start menu instead of typing the URL.
Granting Camera Access
When you first try to capture a photo from the device camera, your browser will ask permission to use the camera. Tap Allow. If you accidentally tapped Block:
- iOS Safari: Settings → Safari → Camera → Allow
- Android Chrome: Tap the lock icon next to the URL → Permissions → Camera → Allow
- Desktop browsers: Click the lock icon next to the URL and re-enable camera permission
Troubleshooting
I can't sign in
Solutions:
- Confirm your email is correct — typos in the domain are easy to miss
- If you're an SSO user, sign in to Outlook or another Microsoft service first to confirm your account works
- If you're a password user and forgot your password, click Forgot Password? on the login screen
- Make sure your account exists — ask your administrator
The install prompt didn't appear
Solutions:
- The prompt only appears 3 seconds after page load, so wait a moment
- If you previously dismissed it, it won't reappear for 7 days
- If you're on iOS, the prompt is iOS-specific and explains the manual Add to Home Screen steps
- Some browsers block the install prompt entirely — try Chrome or Edge on desktop, Safari on iOS
- If you're already running the installed PWA, the prompt is suppressed
My camera doesn't work
Solutions:
- Check that you granted camera permission to the browser (see Granting Camera Access above)
- Try refreshing the page
- If you're on a desktop without a built-in camera, you'll need to use Select Images instead
